Description More about this product
This exquisite IGI certified pendant centers on a rare 2.1 carat natural ruby from the historic Mong Hsu mines in Myanmar, formerly known as Burma. The ruby showcases the characteristic deep, vibrant crimson intensity that has made Burmese stones the most coveted in the world for centuries. Complementing the central gem is a sophisticated array of 14 natural diamonds with a total weight of 1 carat. These diamonds are graded with a superior color range of F to G and an exceptional clarity of VVS, ensuring a dazzling white brilliance that serves as a sharp, icy contrast to the fiery red of the ruby.
The 2.1 carat ruby is meticulously oval cut to optimize light return and showcase its natural saturation. Today, Burmese rubies of this size are increasingly scarce due to limited supply from the region, making this piece a notable asset. The 14 brilliant cut diamonds are expertly set in a high-grade 18kt yellow gold halo bezel setting, providing a secure and elegant framework that elevates the pendant into the realm of fine jewelry.
A standout feature of this design is the large bail measuring 0,6 cm, which is intentionally proportioned to accommodate a variety of chain styles, from delicate silk cords to substantial gold links. This bail not only adds a contemporary structural element to the piece but also ensures the pendant hangs with perfect balance and prominence. The choice of 18kt yellow gold further enhances the warm, rich undertones of the Burmese gemstone, while the halo bezel ensures a timeless look. The inclusion of the IGI certificate is essential for this piece, as it verifies the prestigious Myanmar origin and natural status of the 2.1 carat ruby.
