Ancient Hindu and Burmese miners thought pale Pink Sapphire were unripe Rubies. Sometimes Ruby is tinged with purple shades which is the case of this beautiful ring. Only darker stones are generally called Rubies, but the distinction between Ruby and Pink Sapphire can be a matter of opinion. This wonderful spanish ring is set with a clear and transparent 0.40ct central Ruby surrounded by 10 brilliant-cut white Diamonds for 0.30ct total. The ring is in very good used condition with normal signs of wear commensurate with the age of the jewel.
