This beautiful vintage solitaire ring was created in Luxembourg in the 90s. The ring is in 18kt Yellow Gold and has a central brilliant-cut 0.40ct white Diamond. We can see different work done on the gold, on one part there is a brilliant finish wave that matches the other side that has been worked with the technique of chip carving. This technique has been used since the premetal-ages on wood and bones. Scandinavian silversmiths also used this tecnique which involves removing material with the aid of a chisel and hammer to create relief decorations on a solid material. The ring is in very good used condition with normal signs of wear commensurate with the age of the jewel.
